This came up as a tangent in another thread, but I thought it would be useful to highlight.
This is a defensive driving course for teens and it is wonderful. They drop tires off the side of the road, they drive and try to text while not hitting pylons, instructors play with the radio, unbuckle their seatbelts, they get to do controlled slides on wet pavement.
And they get to sit in a semi surrounded by cars and be shocked at what they can't see.
It comes with a $99 fee, when your child completes the class you can choose to have it refunded OR you can donate it to the non-profit that does these clinics.
Yeah, they kept my money, well worth it. When Cosmic Jr. had his "pouring down rain, wet roads skid" wreck, we replaced a bumper on the car he barely hit, having managed the skid.
