CEOs of Johnson & Johnson, Merck and Bristol Myers Squibb faced tough questions from lawmakers today about the high prices for medicine in the U.S. as opposed to lower prices in 33 other affluent nations, making meds unaffordable for many Americans.

Sen. Sanders asked each CEO if they would commit to lowering their prices. one guy said they cant because tgey have obligations to their shareholders.

Other affluent nations have universal healthcare that can negotiate prices as a large block.

Oh and pharma companies are greedy leeches feeding off government funded research while milking patents with microchanges.
