The oh-so-simple fix to any future Social Security & Medicare funding shortfall in the US is to remove the income cap. I don't care if you make $10K a year or $10B. Everyone pays in proportionate to their income. Problem immediately solved. Next?

Only if you tax that, "non-salary" income. The 1% lives off interest and deadbeat promises of "exposure" for free shit.
