25 movies per year are added to the Library of Congress National Film Registry. There is some argument over what constitutes a classic vs modern classic and so on as we all come to realize that Pulp Fiction is a 30 year old movie and Jaws is turning 50 next year. 😱

I'm thinking:

Silent Era - kinda obvious
Studio Era/Golden Era - talkies to mid/late 60s
Blockbuster Era/Classic Film - 70s-2000
Modern Classic - Turn of the century to present.
