People think they're purchasing a phone or computer, for instance, when they're actually purchasing a ticket to be within an ecosystem. The actual customers are the other corporations that pay for access to those users and their data.
It's that way with farm equipment and more and more with regular vehicles, too.
We're paying to be the product that is sold.
