Based on the few visits I've made here since I joined, haven't found CoSo as a fully viable alternative to Twitter. The Firehose is just not showing me what I'd like to be seeing. But Twitter grows worse every day. Still, I don't want to have to join a dozen social media apps just to stick with all the accounts I currently follow. Will a clear winner ever emerge? Sigh.
Spend a few minutes setting up your filters and a couple of interest columns and you are set.
Take a gander through the user guide. Lots of options.
@migdalorguy @Cosmichomicide It took me some time but it’s been worth it. You can set up (on a PC at least) as many filtered columns as you like. I’ve had ones for the World Cup, Ukraine, politics; they are easy to set up and to dismiss when you are done with them.
Number one suggestion: follow some of the old guard, and interact with them in a positive fashion, and at some point you’ll find you’re coming here first to see what you’ve missed.
@Cosmichomicide Thanks for the advice. I've done some of that, but I'm such a multipotentialite that I'd need a lot of interest columns. I was hoping the FireHose would be helpful in helping me find posters of interest. Has worked for me on other social media apps.
