We are NOT going to solve the problem with student loan debt until we.
1. CUT the bloat in coursework for a college degree. Most of it is USELESS.
2. Make predatory, usurious lending, especially that allows selling debt and increasing interest rates ILLEGAL.
3. Give HS sophomores the choice to do Tech school for their last 18 months so they can get jobs out of high school like WE did.
4. Force developers to build more affordable housing for seniors, students and entry level workers.

5. Tax the billionaires to fully fund public colleges and trade schools.
6. Make a year of public service available to HS graduates, regardless of career path.
7. Get the contractors out of the military, beef up the GI Bill
@Cosmichomicide YES! Military contracting (and other government contracting) has been so out of control, it's why a trillion dollars is nothing to them.
Government does it on a non profit, serious financial control, fraud waste and abuse reduction basis. Why pay greedy investors?
Plus, military personnel can learn jobs they can do when they get out.
