Someone please explain to me how a gun goes off without Baldwin pulling the trigger? How can he NOT be responsible?

Well, guns can go off if they are not properly maintained.
But the argument he is making is that he is the last person to get the gun, and there are a variety of different checks it has to go through before he gets it. Before any actor gets a gun, it should be checked multiple times.
He has some responsibility, but I think it lies with other people more. I don't think he'll get convicted, but he'll get sued.
