@SmirkingRaven @Agatha have you tried saying “I weighed this morning it’s blah blah point blah?”
@Coffee_and_Salt @Agatha Nah. You can refuse, I just have anxiety over telling them no for some reason. It's not necessary except in cases of certain meds, drastic gains/losses, etc.
@SmirkingRaven @Agatha I hate just being measured at all. Unless I’m getting like a cool new cape or something.
@Coffee_and_Salt @Agatha Same.
@SmirkingRaven @Coffee_and_Salt
I went in for an ortho appointment for my hand. They asked me to step on the scale. I said, "No thanks, he's just checking my hand." She said ok and moved on.
@Agatha @Coffee_and_Salt Yeah, I think for my next two upcoming appointments I'm just going to say, "No, thanks, I'm having a good day and I'd hate to ruin it." 😉
@SmirkingRaven @Coffee_and_Salt
If it's my yearly physical or I'm having some other issue that's causing or being impacted by my weight, sure, I'll comply. 😂
@Agatha @Coffee_and_Salt Lol, yeah, one's just for the GI Specialist and the other for my new form of migraines....weight is not needed for either 😜
@SmirkingRaven @Coffee_and_Salt
I had to get weighed by my GI as my current issue was causing weight LOSS. That doesn't happen often. 😂 (And it's definitely not a weightloss program I'd recommend.)
@Agatha @Coffee_and_Salt If only low appetite and constant nausea resulted in weight loss, I'd be golden 😜
@SmirkingRaven @Coffee_and_Salt
Oof I'm sorry.
That does remind me - I'd read about using cultured parasites (like tapeworms) being used for weightloss. If they're lab grown and kept under control, I guess it's no more extreme than a lot of the other things people do. But, I just can't. 😵
But, I'm also not morbidly obese and in danger from the health effects of that, so I'm not about to judge.
@Agatha @Coffee_and_Salt Yeah...no...
@Coffee_and_Salt @Agatha I want to start refusing to be weighed at the doctor's because I don't need that kind of negativity in my life 😛
