@reportbywilson Isn't this dependent on Scholz losing a vote of no confidence? Do the other parties really want this? There's a regular election due later next year.

@pkatlga23 Much of what Trump says is just hot air, but he has long expressed a desire to raise tariffs. It probably won't be all at once, but I can imagine him doing it over time. Mostly he's talking about 10-20%. The exception is for China, at 60%, but I suspect he can be easily bought.

And as he consolidates power, popular support will become less important. This was not just another election.
