Going to happen eventually, I guess... It's like bad flu: aches, tight chest, and my lungs are burning. #CovidIsNotOver #COVID #TypeOneDiabetic
@Clavius_42
Type I diabetic so you know to proceed with caution. See your doc as soon as possible. Feel better soon.
@Clavius_42 Covid is on the upswing. Fortunately, doctors are better equipped to handle it than four years ago.

@Clavius_42 oh no! I hope your case is brief and gets no worse - I wonder if you're a candidate for paxlovid?
@Clavius_42 FFS, sorry to read this. Take care of yourself. Stay hydrated and watch you BG/SG closely. (I know you know) but had to say.
@Clavius_42 Wtf? Those are amongst the ones who are at higher risk of severe cases!
@Clavius_42 The doctor told you this? I know there are possible serious drug interactions, as well as issues for people with liver and kidney disease, but if that isn't the case, it doesn't seem to make sense.

@LiseL He pretty much suggested I get back in touch if I feel much worse; take Ibuprofen and Paracetamol, stay hydrated.😐
At least he didn't suggest I binge watch something I'm too foggy to enjoy - which I'm learning is the COVID equivalent of sending thoughts and prayers... 💭 🙏
If I do feel worse, he'll bloody-well know about it. 😷
@Clavius_42 It's all so frustrating. I wonder if there's a bit of 'Covid fatigue' among some medical professionals? Anyway, I wouldn't hesitate to call back if you feel like it's really bad or anything just feels wrong. I hope you're feeling better soon.
@Clavius_42 I'm so sorry. I came down with it a couple of weeks ago and I have Lupus so I know the feeling and worry. Rest, rest, hydrate, rest more, hydrate more. And yes, get Paxlovid if available. Don't hesitate the reach out for help if you feel it's needed.
Thank for the mention of paxlovid. Rang my surgery to see if I'm eligible. I'm on fire, paracetamol is not making a dent. Dr is calling me back.
