It's unbearable today. This man has barely been a functional human being since he was discharged from the hospital on the 13th. Tomorrow this changes.
I REFUSE to administer SAMSCA one more day. I have my arsenal ready and that doctor will hear me out. I am his first line of defense and I'm here to tell ya, it's gonna get ugly if something isn't done. I have alternatives in mind to discuss and if she's not willing to listen, I'll find another Dr. This shit is inhumane.

It all does become endless. And sometimes you have to stand up. I remember an instance of having to threaten to leave AMA from the hospital in the dead of winter, where a local hospitalist decided to play god and start changing all my husbands meds/etc without consulting his oncologist. Nope. Do what you have to. Sometimes we get lost in the system.
And seek what solace you can, because it's damn hard work being an advocate or caregiver. 💜💗
