It is amazing to me to consider the women in this ad are all 46! I know hairstyles are taken into account, clothing, etc. but even with clothing and hairstyles they looks so old!
Not sure if I am happy we are looking younger, or upset we aren't just allowed to devolve into the crones we are supposed to. 😂

@CinnamonGirlE Some of them may have lost weight. That really ages your face. Zhazha Gabor used to say, you can save your face or your butt but not both.

@TrueBloodNet
Having lost weight myself, I get it. Yes, I think I have saved my butt, but my face is a lot more wrinkly than it was when it was fatter. Oh well! You can't have everything.

@CinnamonGirlE And if you did have everything, where would you put it? ;)

Old Steven Wright joke.. :)

@TrueBloodNet
Trust me! That's another whole discussion 😂
I remember 😉

@CinnamonGirlE I would believe the ad better if they were all 56. Or 66. that's 46? sheesh

@kismatt
I am a good decade+ older. And I don't think I look it. But we are all blind when we see ourselves, to a degree.

@CinnamonGirlE Gee, maybe, since it's an ad, they're not really all 46???

@CinnamonGirlE Seems we were all looking at those faces and thinking the same thing... no way were they all that young... then I stepped back and realized that's the point, better take my Geritol!

@CinnamonGirlE

Soooo… the takeaway is women need to look beautiful or they aren’t worthy,

Fuck that noise.

I’d rather feel 20 than look it.

@feloneouscat
Every day of the week. Health is key. And anyway, if you look better, you probably feel better. I do it for me, and only me.

@feloneouscat
And that is definitely what society tell us. Look pretty. Be nice.
Uh, done now.

@CinnamonGirlE I'm guessing many or most of them had a heavy smoking habit. Also, spent a lot of time in the sun without UV protection. Both of these methods remain available, even if some of us know somewhat better now.

@00pi
I am sure that's true. Any age I am showing at present is probably from unprotected sun exposure.

@CinnamonGirlE It reminds me of old photos of baseball players from the 1950s and 60s. They are all in their 20s and 30s but they look like men in their 50s.

@CinnamonGirlE A _lot_ of the "signs of age", as near as I can tell, have little to do with wrinkles or grey hair.

People start changing their clothes, hair, makeup, their mannerisms, the way they carry themselves, almost like they've gotten a note that says "you have to dress and act old now".

Don't follow a script. Age however you please. You might actually turn out to be younger than you are!

@AskTheDevil
For myself? I definitely still feel young. I still dress young (within reason) and think young. However, my body is aging, and even with all I do, I can't turn that back. None of us can. And I accept that. I Try to look for the positives in aging.

@CinnamonGirlE I think it's easier for me, in that from my perspective, I have gone through a succession of bodies that start fresh, then wear out.

But even if you remember just one life, you're still the person in that life. Change according to your growth, not to fit in to someone else's idea of age.

@AskTheDevil
All I have ever had is this body, that I remember anyway. Perhaps I have had multiple and multiple yet to come. Or maybe this is the one and only. Either way, it's the only life this Cinnamon Girl is going to live here on earth. As JB would say, some of it's been magic, some of it's been tragic, but I've had a good life all the way.
