I normally prefer to watch the #Oscars not having actually seen any of the nominated movies. I failed at that in '23, so my opinions in some cases are based on the actual productions rather than the standalone spectacle. ☹️
That having been said, Greta Gerwig and America Ferrera should be given *all* the awards for this:

This scene from Barbie nutshells the problems being a woman represents here in the U.S. And the kicker: men, even more enlightened men, but certainly the vast majority of men, never ever understand these 2.5 minutes.
