Really nce! What nice gifts!
Lol, I read that as tho you were sending them to Missouri Star QC the first time! Do you hand quilt or machine quilt?
@Twocrazybunnies
There's never quite enough turkey leftover for sandwiches. But then, I haven't cooked a whole turkey in a few years, either. I usually just buy a turkey breast roast, as there's less waste and it helps keep the bears out of our trash bin. We had turkey sandwiches last night for dinner and that was the end of the turkey. I try to make just enough for 2nds and maybe one small serving for the desperate on day #2.
They've just added a dark/light mode switch in PREFERENCES - after clicking the three dots next to your name in profile! Yay!
@Kikiadine
Did you notice/hear that we can now change our background to a lighter version? I'm so much happier with the lighter color. I felt like I was crawling through a dark cave, before. Just click the three dots next to your name and edit your PREFERENCES. Select light or dark mode. (c; Yay!!

That is becoming more apparent every day. Unfortunately, the "bugs" do drink, it appears. The rest of the insect world is diminishing as the mammalian bugs 🧟♂️🧟♀️ crawl out of hiding and begin to defecate on everything. 🐞🐛

@Oma_Trisha I'm very sorry for your loss. )c: Cancer truly is devastating. I lost my eldest brother to it in '87 (he was 40) & my dad in '90 (he was 68.) The songs you play show we shared similar timelines. I grew up in CA, near SFO and have always lived along the Pacific coast - but inland a little bit. I'm happy to have found you here! May your memories continue to warm your heart!
That was.. and still is my husband's & my song. He was active duty millitary until 2005 when he retired. During our marriage he had over 7 years of seatime, and often had duty (overnight) about 1 in 4. We spent a lot of time away from one another, so now - we sit on the couch & snuggle every chance we get! 🥰 Fidelity is our anchor.
We have yard waste collected with our weekly garbage pickup. Separate huge bin. It goes to a place where they compost everything. Of course, there's a fee for that and a fee to buy it back as compost - but it's rich & te garden loves it. Maybe your local refuse agency can start one, if there's enough community interest. Here's ours.. https://cedar-grove.com/
Do you have a mulching lawn mower? Mow through them so they get chopped up. Try to do this in one area so you can rake them easily into garden beds and spread around your plants. They will decompose fairly quickly & enrich your topsoil. Earthworms will love them! Soil bacteria & fungus will break them down further & by spring, nutrients will be seeping down for roots to take them up into trees, shrubs & next year's flowers.
