@MsJudyJetson Absolutely agree! I work with families raising children diagnosed with SMI - childhood onset #schizophrenia and #bipolardisorder - these kids need accommodations at school and at home.

@etakeh How do we care for these people? Persons with #schizophrenia need care. Their illness often makes them unable to realize they have it. When Kennedy wanted to close hospitals and convert to community mental health care, it never happened. We seem to be going back to the 1950's because of NIMBY - no one wants long-term treatment centers in their neighborhood.
