Oh babe, don't say you're doing fine
Don't hide yourself away, something on your mind
You're drinking in the day, coming from the way
Sometimes it's good to cry, cry cry cry cry

@stueytheround Stuey, you don't even need to ask. 🤗 Grab a handful.

@redenigma

Sister Sebastian made us recite this version of the poem every day in 5th grade. I have never forgotten it. 😀

Don't believe things just because a politician spews something at a podium.

BTW - It is legal for undocumented immigrants to vote in local elections if the jurisdiction allows it.

Upon review of a list compiled by The Heritage Foundation, a conservative group, of election fraud cases that resulted in conviction, since 2020, most illegible voting convictions were because a released convicted felon did not have the right to vote, or a US Citizen voted at separate addresses. (This can happen when someone moves to a new state and does not change over records, thus erroneously voting in two different jurisdictions.)

After the 2020 election, cases filed by Trump's team were brought to judges, including many judges appointed by Trump. Most were dismissed on procedural grounds, but some were dismissed for lack of merit.

"The Brennan Center for Justice, a liberal group, surveyed 44 election officials in some of the most populous and immigrant-heavy jurisdictions in the country after 2016, including Arizona, California and Texas. It found only about 30 incidents of a possible noncitizen voting out of 23.5 million votes cast in those places." - Source: AP News

Undocumented immigrants (also known by the bigoted term of illegals) are not voting in federal elections. There are no numbers because it is not happening in any scale to actually affect an election.

@elbutterfield I won't need the AC until mid-late June. I figured it would be plenty of time for the robins. 💟

Today I spotted a broken shell on my balcony and lo and behold.... babies!!

The eternal hope of Spring.

On the 29th, I managed to be sneaky opening my sliding door so as to not startle the bird and captured this chonky robin sitting in the nest.

On April 12, I kept hearing this weird scratchy/scriffly sound coming from my wall-unit air conditioner. I went out to check several times and didn't see anything. But upon closer look, I noticed that a bird was attempting to build a nest on top of the unit and the grass and sticks just kept falling into the unit through the air vents. I grabbed a wooded tray, picked up what I could of the nest and placed it on the tray as I slid it over the top of the AC unit. I hoped the bird would come back.

Walking up the mountain to see what I could see
Walking up the mountain just to feel free
Sometimes it feels like the mountain is walking on me

@Render Imagine telling universities they must remove all Newman Centers from their campuses. How many would complain then? And as we all know the Catholic religion has a shady past (and present).
