On April 12, I kept hearing this weird scratchy/scriffly sound coming from my wall-unit air conditioner. I went out to check several times and didn't see anything. But upon closer look, I noticed that a bird was attempting to build a nest on top of the unit and the grass and sticks just kept falling into the unit through the air vents. I grabbed a wooded tray, picked up what I could of the nest and placed it on the tray as I slid it over the top of the AC unit. I hoped the bird would come back.

On the 29th, I managed to be sneaky opening my sliding door so as to not startle the bird and captured this chonky robin sitting in the nest.

Today I spotted a broken shell on my balcony and lo and behold.... babies!!

The eternal hope of Spring.

@ChippySuave Good job, foster mama! Nice save with the wooden tray.

@ChippySuave As much as humans make natures job harder nice to see when its the other way. You get the bonus of enjoying nature more up close even if its just for a short time. Thanks for sharing so we can enjoy it too.
