I don't understand how AI is helpful. My daughter wrote a few papers for her college class and the professor gave her a lower score because they sounded too much like AI wrote them. My daughter had to request they be rescored and said she couldn't help that her prior teachers taught her proper grammar and sentence syntax. Her grades were ultimately changed to As. But still.. how did that help her? She didn't need to make any revisions, instead the professor had to allow for error on his end.
It's been nothing but a disaster for education, and educators still haven't figured out how to accommodate it, or resist it, or confront it, or avoid it. The only thing that's clear is that the old methods of mass-produced education no longer work.
@ChippySuave That is crazy. I'm glad that your daughter was successful in getting her grades changed. And it is a pretty serious accusation that this professor seemed to throw out quite casually.
