Everybody talks about how therapy is beneficial for mental health. But rarely discussed is the mental, emotional, and physical pain of the therapy hangover for days after.

Live in those moments as hard as they may be. They are also helpful for processing and healing.

Personally, I put the scented t-shirt of a favorite person on a pillow and use that 'shoulder' to cry on. Whatever works!

@ChippySuave Much of the work in healing from mental health issues and trauma is very much involved in emotional and physical aspects.
If reading a deceased partners letters help you process the emotions, go for it.
If snuggling with someone helps, ask and go for it.
If it doesn't hurt you, or hurt anyone else, do it, cause you deserve to heal, and processing those emotions is a big part of recovering from trauma and emotional issues.

@ChippySuave As a friend of mine coined it, "Remember, healing is hard work. Take the time for self care too, that's as much a part of healing, as the big work is."
