Internet question..
I moved last week and signed up with Spectrum for internet service. Since then, Bitdefender has given me 95 notices with the same threat blocked:

Online Threat Prevention
chrome.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an untrusted certificate to wpad. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since untrusted certificates are issued by unrecognized Certificate Authorities.
What is this and what do I do?
@ChippySuave My slightly (but not very) educated guess is that because Spectrum offers WiFi access points, its software is configured to look for that periodically and that's what you're seeing -- the attempts to look. My guess only.

I think you're okay but you should probably turn WPAD off. here's how:
