@InvaderGzim This woman lives in South Dakota. Maybe they have a different set up.
@ChippySuave scary. They do make gas meter covers / boxes for folks who would want to prevent it.
Weirdly, it doesn't look like there's a lot of snow/ice on the meter. I wonder if the piping was damaged before / weakened somehow.
