Breaking: Staff member shot and wounded at Newport News’ Richneck Elementary School in Virginia, according to spokesperson. School on lockdown.. officials are setting up reunification site for parents.
@ExecutiveFunction404 The student was in first grade, six years old, and shot the teacher in the stomach after an altercation. No word on what the altercation was or how the student obtained the gun.
Insane. Just absolutely dumbfounding.
I can only assume the child got the gun from the parents. Because who else? An older sibling? One old enough to purchase a firearm? The gap wouldn't be unheard of, but it's certainly rare.

An elementary school...and a *student* shot the teacher? Isn't 10 the highest age for elementary school? What's going on with these children?
