I feel bad for my youngest.. for months she has been practicing for VBODA Concert Band Assessment, where she was to perform three solos.
They just sent an email that due to Covid-19, the regional assessments have been postponed until further notice.
I expect by this weekend the school district will send notice to start virtual learning from home.
Luckily, our school district already does digital learning and kids have chromebooks. They just all need internet access now. And lunches!
@ChippySuave my school system just sent out school for the next 3 weeks is out (including spring break) and a virtual learning thing will be announced tomorrow. Interesting times we are in
@carver I'm wondering if the state education board will waive the attendance requirement or if they will make the kids make up days in the summer.
In this district, the kids have several virtual learning days scheduled through the year, that are used to make up hurricane or snow days.
I also wonder how it will affect AP exams in the beginning of May.
