Had the weirdest conversation with my wife last night about gun ownership, the 2020 election and living near DC. The outcome of that conversation is that we don't vote down here (because she is military we vote in her 'home of record') so we don't plan on being anywhere near DC or certain parts of rural America for an unspecified time after the election.
Call us paranoid but I'm betting there will be violence if Trump loses. Hell, even if he wins but the Dems gain seats there will be.

@FergySon Even if not physically violent, the intentional verbal hatred spewed recklessly will hurt the nation more than it is hurting now..

@ChippySuave he's been planting the seeds for his followers to be violent since his campaign and if he loses in 2020 they won't know what to do with their feelings other than lash out and claim to be the victims.

@FergySon True.. But I'd argue the rhetoric started way back with talk radio hot heads like Rush Limbaugh. Trump's ability to win the 2016 election was the eventual outcome of decades (if not, centuries) of provoked hatred and perpetuated bigotry and fear. Our problem was that we didn't want to believe so many in today's world would fully embrace that evil.

But, now we know. I can't find room to truly respect someone who says they don't follow politics or who doesn't care.
