I must say this.. I give lots of love and empowerment to the Ladies of CoSo, because ummm yeah.. Girl Power. Duh! I'm a girl and a feminist.

But I have been negligent by failing to mention the Men of CoSo as well. You guys are first class, high caliber dudes who actively demonstrate your humor, brilliance, patience, talents, your love and concern for others, all just by being your own magnificent selves with each post and follow-up comment. You are fully appreciated. 😍 Thank you!

@ChippySuave brava! so true. I think J sets the tone and it permeates the platform.

@ChippySuave so beautifully said, Chippy! Thank you, Men of CoSo!

@ChippySuave

Aw, shucks, thanks! 😊

But let's not forget there are nonbinary genderqueer and genderfluid folks, too!

@Dobo You are absolutely correct and I blame my reflexive action of labeling everyone as boys or girls on my lack of forethought and my limited personal interactions. Thank you for helping.

Let me just say this to anyone reading.. I love everyone here for participating and well, just for being you, yourselves. Even the ones not yet on my follow lists. 💟

@ChippySuave

Not meaning to bust your chops in any way: being the old fart that I am, I have to constantly check myself for assuming the binary gender thing. So now I tend to notice it.

Like when Mrs Seal finally succeeded in getting me to hear the difference between "pin" and "pen."

Now I have to try harder every time I use one of those words in a sentence to make sure I get it right.

@Dobo Not busting my chops at all, you gave great insight that helped prevent some who may have felt left out otherwise.

Pin and Pen, hunh.. My kids gave up.. Hot dog will always sound like hot dawg. LOL 🤣

@ChippySuave

Most recently she got me to hear the difference between her "AMbulince" and my "ambuLANCE."

But screw it, my pronunciation is the right one, in this case. 😠

@Dobo I'd say it all depends on where you grew up. I too have certain sounds that are a give away for where I lived.

@ChippySuave

I'm told ambuLANCE is almost 100% indicative that you grew up in NOLA.

Like calling the median strip the neutral ground. Which I do.

@Dobo I have never heard it called neutral ground before. 🤣 But, I am not from Nola. I do say like and Mike as loyk and Moyk. And all words with double consonant as in Button are pronounced as Buh-on.

@ChippySuave It's called a sense of self and others...COSONAUTS reke this stuff cause we care about more than just ourselves
