oh gosh. I am trying really hard to not be twitter me on here and Mastodon. But a guy has said "why throw racism in every white's face?" and "why not start your own instance so as to avoid racist moderation?" (the later is a paraphrase) and I am being tested.

Okay, it's good to make it clear that no one seems to be doing that on CoSo. We know Mastodon is an inconsistently-moderated cesspool.
@mcfate the issue is that there are good places who will nuke that sort of nonsense from orbit and .. others. The entire concept of the "fediverse" seems intrinsically linked to "meritocracy" and the idiotic belief that everyone is a rational actor where "rational" is "believes in the status quo as I understand it". It's also all based on "nothing bad happened to me so..."
Okay, but none of that has jack to do with CoSo. We're not part of the "concept of the fediverse", we want nothing to do with it OR its notions of meritocracy.
I guess I'm unclear about the point of complaining how crappy Mastodon is on a place that wants nothing to do with Mastodon because Mastodon is so crappy.

Okay, that's fine. The thought in MY head was "Why on earth are you telling ME about this? Go tell someone on Mastodon."
