I wonder why it's the people who most preach against "collectivism" and "identity #politics" who are least likely to treat people as individuals, instead insisting on considering them only as faceless members of groups they make collective characterizations of?

FWIW The question "are they spewing propaganda because they are paid to do so?" Is the wrong question. The question should be "Why are they being paid by propagandists to just continue the work they're already doing?"

One thing I do differently now that I'm in gun-crazy Texass: When I enter a building, I look for the exits. Not just the main one. Knowing that may save my ass one day. Because I've seen some people act crazy as hell here, and one time the only exit I knew of required I go past the guy being super loud, aggressive, and unhinged. So now I check as soon as I enter. I assume everyone is armed.
