I'd LIKE to think this is true, but I'm not convinced that the exigent issues of the day aren't driving more people's voting patterns than an overall recognition that one of the principal parties is entirely bankrupt. There are a TON of people who don't pay the attention we do. Look how easily Glenn Youngkin manipulated perception with a couple of ginned up issues and managed to become governor of Virginia two years ago!
Oh, I know, and I'm deeply grateful for that. But what happened two years ago happened just 12 months after the states voters recognized the danger of reelecting the screaming shitgibbon. Enough of them couldn't recognize the similarities in Youngkin's policies, if not his presentation, and let themselves get caught up in bathroom panic and CRT BS.
That's why I hesitate to think, "Ahhhhh, NOW it's all different."
