Today my ortho surgeon checked out the replacement knee he installed five yrs ago.
He said pain, swelling, numbness, shooting electrical zingers all part of the trauma of my fall and could last 1-2 yrs .
X-rays show everything related to prosthetic & surrounding bones in good shape.
Breathing easier.
PT starts next week on elbow/wrist breaks.
1-2 years? Yikes!
Deep abrasion to the knee.

Dislocated/three breaks in elbow, broken wrist. Broken rib from being over-served morphine & fentanyl in the ER resulting in 2.5 hrs of vomiting at home until rib broke. Severe contusion to knee.
Nothing compared to snowmobile accident in Rocky Mountain National Park when I drove into a ravine breaking five bones.
I have good powers of healing.
