Although my goal is walk in the moment, see the beauty, feel the breeze, I found myself also counting the days until my Asheville experience is over.
Four years in this beautiful 100 yr old, 14 story building where F Scott Fitzgerald & Zelda frequently got drunk when it was a chic hotel.
The many spirits of days past still reside in this grand old lady where I found refuge from Covid after living on the road.
She opened her arms wide when I needed sanctuary from a world gone mad.
@LnzyHou that's a lovely building.
It really is. Lindsay, where are you going?
I get that. I find myself wishing family was closer, too. We're scattered from Vermont to the west coast and sometimes it feels lonely.
I’m not lonely. But holidays & emergencies will be so much easier after this move.
And more visits in between. I'm glad for you. It sounds nice. 😃
@BrazenlyLiberal
The 11 hr drive from Asheville to my son’s has become too much. I want to be closer to family in the autumn of my years.
Rent & cost of living are lower there too.
