These last few days are seeing the climax of our major festival, Crop Over (like Carnival but based in the old celebration of the end of the sugar cane season, hence crop over). Last night saw the road festivities called "Foreday Morning", with revellers on the road throughout until this morning

@BrazenlyLiberal Oh Lawd, you want to kill me!!! I did that in my (much) younger days, when I'd quite often be covering the jump-up for radio. These days I'm not sure I could make a mile on the road... lol

@BrazenlyLiberal Ends on Monday, Kadooment Day, with judging of the costume bands and then they hit the road again to the music of this year's calypso hits. The equivalent to our Kadooment Day is New Orleans and Trinidad's Mardi Gras
