You know how everyone rolls their eyes when someone starts in "in my day that cost ten cents!"?

Yeah. So I normally don't do that. But....... I saw an article that said $2000 was the cheap seat price to see Taylor Swift.

I'm sure she puts on a hell of a show.

$2,000.00!!! FOR THE CHEAP SEATS!!!

I know everything costs more now. I have bills. No use whining about it.

But ... but ... but ...

(okay...here it comes)

I paid $5.50 to see The Beatles.

@BrazenlyLiberal ITA w your 'outrage'(?) Not for me, but average kids should be able to see live music. The thing is, no matter how good a show Taylor puts on, this big an event will not really allow anyone to experience music. It is only a fandom 'experience'... for 2K

To be honest, seeing The Beatles was more fandom than music. Thousands of teenage girls screaming nonstop. Couldnt hear a note. They were on 2nd base (the old Comiskey Park) and we were behind home plate. Their faces were pink smudges. πŸ˜‚

But I agree with you. Music- live music -should be something most kids can afford to see.

@BrazenlyLiberal ITA Also, I've been there with the fan experience vs musicality. Luckily, I was often backstage at some larger events so got to experience some sound and close up sights from time to time.
