So when New Doctor told me to knock off the sugar, I said "Sure. No problem. I've never had much of a sweet tooth. This will be a piece of cake!"
Now all I want is that piece of cake. Chocolate. With a dark chocolate ganache and a barely there dusting of powdered sugar.

hang in there. It takes 7 to 10 days for the worst sugar cravings to go away. Day 5 is always the worst for me.
Everything packaged has sugar so be careful with cravings for bread after the 7th day. Good luck!

Hm. This time of year, Mexican watermelons are the best.
I'll be interested in how that turns out. My problem has been that more delicately flavored fruits seem to get lost in the sugar of sorbet.

I was planning to try it without sweetener 😬 we'll see🤞... got a new gadget for making it and was able to make banana, pinapple and cherry using fruit only w no sugar added. Watermelon may be a different animal though. Will post the result unless it totally flops😁!

@BrazenlyLiberal Someone brought a box of Mexican sugar breads into the house. I have tried them before, but I have never really liked them that much or gone out of my way to eat them, but now that I'm diabetic?
The box has a golden glow, choirs of angels singing out of it, a gentle creamy sweet smell coming out like a phantom and attempting to lure me.
Same thing happens with doughnuts.
