'Republicans must step in!' Trump begs for help with legal troubles in frantic 2 a.m. rant
Lynne's Note ***Trump wahhhh i did the crime i am afraid of doing the time
Step in and do what?
He has never really understood how government works. He was stunned to learn that as POTUS he did not have the power to do whatever he pleased and now still doesn't understand the limits of position
@BrazenlyLiberal yeah i agree
@BrazenlyLiberal i think he want s them to step in and obstruct justice
I'm sure you're right but how? Mob action? His mob is dissipating fast. And GOP congresscritters will abandon him as surely as they up til now kissed his doughy ass and for the same reason - personal survival.
@BrazenlyLiberal @catlynne333 I swear to God one of his first acts should he be elected again will be to suspend Congress under some invented law he made up because of an emergency he caused deliberately.
@JolieSaboteuse @BrazenlyLiberal @catlynne333
"A government that is allowed to break the law during an emergency will create an emergency to break the law"
@YouInMyEye @JolieSaboteuse @catlynne333
Allowed by whom?
I just don't understand the how of it.
I absolutely agree with those who say he would love to be - even try to be - Putin West - but I don't see how he'd pull it off. His support is dwindling by the day.
@BrazenlyLiberal Its called the military thats how he would do it martial law @YouInMyEye @JolieSaboteuse
@catlynne333 @YouInMyEye @JolieSaboteuse
You could be right. Personally I don't think so. I don't think he'd have the support of the military. More and more high ranking military types have started talking and it sounds like support for his excesses was tenuous last time around.
@BrazenlyLiberal @YouInMyEye @JolieSaboteuse Yeah just tenuous makes me nervous
@catlynne333 @YouInMyEye @JolieSaboteuse
Sure. It's a pretty nerve-wracking thought!
@YouInMyEye @catlynne333 @JolieSaboteuse
We're not.
I'm a Democrat who votes independently - mostly Dem, but the occasional step across the aisle.
I don't think Democrats have ever worked hard enough for the vote. We suck at some of the most critical aspects of party building. We pat ourselves on the back and then wonder why lousy turnout results in yet another Louie Gohmert type being elected
