PSA: Stop talking on speaker phone in public

Sincerely,

Everyone

@Bobbelieu
It reminds me of when Nextel phones became popular and not only was everybody on speaker, they were always using the half-duplex PTT mode with the loud chirps. I seem to recall it didn't count against your minutes, and that's why people used it all the time.

@Bobbelieu I'm wondering what's up with young folk these days holding a phone parallel to the ground in front of their mouth.

@NoahPaulLeGies

A lack of respect for those around them. It's becoming way too common.

*shakes fist at sky*

@Bobbelieu

@jaunty @NoahPaulLeGies @Bobbelieu Yes, and it helps when you're trying to talk to someone and there's a lot of noise. The speaker is down there, too. You can hold it up to your ear.

@Bobbelieu I’d take it a step further, stop talking on your phone when you are interacting with other people in public. It’s annoying when someone comes up to the register and won’t stop their conversation for two minutes while they pay for their purchases. That makes me have to get their damn attention every time I need to ask a question. Makes me want to slap the damn phone out of their hand.
