Today I considered joining Nextdoor
..but I backed out.
I don't like gossip or racism, and I'm attached to the illusion that my neighbors are nice people.
@BlisterPearl I kind of regret joining, personally. I was early enough that I'm a moderator or whatever they call it, which is cool except they zero me in on allllll the racism & other disinfo.
@BlisterPearl one of my neighborhoods had a hundreds of replies long thread about birthday balloons, whether they were really a cultural tradition and gentrification. It was amazing.
