I’m not saying Elon can’t do this, far from it actually. If he wants to behave this way, fine, it’s his playground.

I have a friend who was a Musk groupie. She loved him, he was brilliant, a visionary, blah blah blah. Over Thanksgiving she admitted that, with Twitter, he'd shown his true self and now he horrified her.

I agree. My older half-brother was conservative but well-educated. Were he still alive I'm not sure if he'd buy all that MAGA crap or not.

A lot of people aren’t on board with the fascism of the new GOP, say what you want about Reagan the man at least played the moderate. He gave a whole speech in favor of easy immigration, legalized abortion, assault weapons bans, and expanded health coverage.

He would be demonized in todays GOP and that is frankly insane to me.

My opinion of Reagan is complicated but overall negative. He was the 2nd president I served under, and a lot of those around me were ardently worshiping him like Trump's cult members. They were the most hardcore for the wrong reasons.
