Any bassists in the ABQ area interested in playing Van Halen? Looking for one currently.

The same people stamping their feet and pissing their pants over "87,000 IRS agents" are the same people who invited a couple of thousand domestic terrorists to smear shit on the walls of the US Capitol building.

"Twitter suspended the account Tuesday that the D.C.-area’s largest transit system uses to inform bus riders of delays, scheduling changes and other information without explanation to the transit agency."

Republicans just made Jodey Arrington, who calls for raising the age of retirement for Social Security, the chair of the House Budget Committee.

Rep Jim McGovern said I'm entering into evidence an article entitled "Jan 6 panel names six house GOP lawmakers who asked for pardons and many of them would like to be on this committee."
ENTERED without Objection

The fact that gutting the Office of Congressional Ethics and threatening Social Security and Medicare are among the first items on the House GOP’s agenda tells you everything you need to know about the party’s priorities.

Then came the '67 riots. I remember my parents were strangely excited by the chaos and we drove right into the areas where tanks and snipers could be seen driving around. Saw people with bricks smashing storefront windows. Had a 9pm curfew. The street Livernois was once "The Avenue of Fashion" where my mom would take me to B. Siegel and the 5&10 for grilled cheese. My dad would take me to Darbys for corned beef sandwiches. All those stores disappeared quickly, almost overnight

Growing up in Detroit was tough. As my mother's drinking continued there was violence...learned to call emergency numbers and keep a cool head. learned to fight in school and act crazier than the other guy though I was scared to death. Don't show you're afraid.Don't show tears.Once I sat on a window ledge imagining jumping. I'd bury my head in pillows to drown out the sound of my drunk mom's screams and sound of ribs breaking when my dad tried to pick her up and get her in bed

I have a series of posts on FB I'll be sharing on CoSo gradually...

43 years ago my mother succumbed to complications from alcohol use at 56. Day before my 21st birthday. I used to joke that even in death she knew how to spoil a party. It was actually a relief, living with a raging addict is no vacation...
