@eric_lackner @BlackDogg I learned a lot about the caste system in the Hispanic/Latino world in Florida, as a person explained why Democratic outreach does not work well because they do not understand that the Cubans do not even see themselves as Hispanic. Their self-image is as European aristocrats who will one day to return to take over ownership of Cuba. The other Hispanic groups are inferiors.
As LBJ once said, every ethnic or economic group always needs another group to look down on.
@BlackDogg Latinos generally don't see themselves in one big voting block the way politicos do. They tend to not realize that white Americans generally cannot tell what country they are from. They're possibly in a lot of danger, and just don't realize it.... yet.
