Unintended consequence of Matt Gaetz nomination. By Brian Tyler Cohen and Glenn Kirschner
The trifecta in Washington offers a tantalizing political opportunity for Republicans, opening up a universe of political and policy priorities โ from tax cuts to mass deportations to the gutting of the regulatory and federal bureaucracy, along with Trumpโs vows to seek vengeance and prosecution of his perceived enemies and pardon those who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
I'm getting a lot of way too little/way too late vibes about how we got here.
The information was out there but you really had to look for it and the right wingers are nothing if not lazy.
Linds, thank you for putting my disillusionment into words.
Shocked to see I posted I would never vote again to Theresa. And she responded that she had made the same decision.
I have voted in every election over my lifetime. I wonder how many millions of others (besides the 100M who didnโt vote 2024) have made the same decision.
All of a sudden my rancor towards those who didnโt vote feels disingenuous. Maybe they came to the same decision earlier than I did. Including the young black man who said the constitution is broken.

In a conservative world they probably do not like Beyoncรฉ music, did not know of "project 2025," have not heard of "tariffs," and would prefer not to discuss abortions. Also, there are people who believe the POTUS controls gasoline prices.

trump -
76,058,615 votes (50.2%)
Vice President Kamala Harris -
73,122,138 votes (48.2%)
Do these numbers, with votes still being counted, actually reflect a r๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ? When the totals are final he may not even have 50%.

Thanks Canis, I always thought that this song sounded like John Lennon singing.
Also, Gerry Rafferty screwed us, enough with the soft rock.
I worked 38 years for the military and federal law enforcement, and now I have to watch much of the government's past hard work be destroyed, like #January6thInsurrection pardons.
Don't you dare tell me not be enraged.

Pete Hegseth, nominee for Secretary of Defense, has "Deus Vult" tattoos, both symbols and the words.
It originated as a rallying cry in the Crusades against Muslims. It has been more recently embraced by Christian Nationalists and White Supremacists in the United States.
