My mom was a teacher.
Engish Lit. She was very good at it. She had a lifelong love of George Eliot (Mary Anne Evans).
She was an educator, a friend, a confidante, who always always referred to her students as "her kids".
I will tell what she was not. A trained CQB (close quarters battle) specialist.
She didn't sign up for that shit. She wanted to educate and help kids, which she dedicated her life to doing.
If she had wanted guns she would have joined the army.
