@ToruOkada @Bix i get what you’re saying but the circumstances are different, not by much, but it’s worth mentioning.
us trying to get ukraine into nato and the EU (which would probably lead to US military installations in Ukraine, literally on russias border)
plus we literally told Germany hey if you don’t chill the fuck out we’re going to kick your face in again (and even we (us and Britain etc) were really really slow to react, basically having to be dragged into it)
@themagicbeans Not nipping this in the bud was the most deadly and costly decision the Soviet Union, UK, US, and other countries made. The comparison with the Middle East is misleading as the motivation for US involvement was different. Well, I assume we see this play out now for another time. Those who do not remember the past... @Bix
