@Bix There really should be four political parties in the U.S. — Far Right MAGAts, Republicans, Democrats, and Far Left Progressives. They can form coalitions in Congress as needed. While I’m dreaming, we also need to open all taxpayer-funded primaries and eliminate the Electoral College.

Funny thing abour the three "co-equal" branches of government. Only two of them - POTUS & Congress (Senate & House of Reps.) - are populated by voters & must be voted back in each term. The third - SCOTUS - is appointed to lifetime memberships by the other two with zero accountability. Doesn't sound very co-equal to me.
