If you have not not figured it out [it is the same pattern, over and over], the GOP demands giant cuts when the Dems are in power. Then, the public blames the Dems for the cuts.

@Bix Never forget to tell people this, because it's true: PRESIDENTS DON'T LEGISLATE. Congress does. Any govt. shutdown is the fault of the Congress, not the President.
Obama never cut food stamps. The Republican Congress did.
@Bix And in this case, it will be the fault of the House of Representatives (GOP-controlled) and the Speaker, for not doing the people's work and keeping the govt. open and running.
