I got an Apple Watch last October and had it until this August when it broke. At first I thought I would be disappointed and run right out to get another one, but mostly I felt an overwhelming sense of relief. It is stressful to wear one all the time with it tracking every metric, sending me every message and always telling me I need to work out (when I had already planned to work out a bit later in the day). It has been several weeks without it now and I don’t miss it. #apple #applewatch

A cool little detail from my Bell’s Codex story is that in it there is a race between a Dodge Hellcat and a BMW M3. While I was writing it I actually tracked down a drag race video between those two cars to make sure the winner was correct in the story. #amwriting #coso

Initially when I made this ad for the NH Gazette I just had a snapshot of letters that wouldn’t decode to anything meaningful. Just as an example of the code. But thinking about it a bit more I wanted it to be something that people could actually decode when they understood the encryption. So I pulled out my Python code again and actually encrypted a message for this version of the ad. Hopefully it gets people interested! #coso #python #encryption #puzzle #cryptology #cryptography

@bfgreen In one of our previous discussions you mentioned how it is good to have a puzzle which starts off simple and slowly builds in difficulty in subsequent stages. This is me trying to do that and bridge the gap between the most simple cryptography and showing the trajectory toward the encryption I use in the book. I hope it helps!

@bfgreen this can all be done by hand and is completely standalone. Though it offers clues for the book.
