At the grocery store, there was a young kid, maybe 4, wearing a Mario hat, yelling “It’s a me, Mario!” At everyone. No one was acknowledging him. When he did it to me, I said “Really? Hi Mario, I’ve always wanted to meet you!” And his face lit up.

@BipolarArtist it takes such little effort to make a child happy, it boggles my mind that more people don’t do exactly what you did. -Last night I was at a friends and their son was suddenly behind me and I was startled. I then proceeded to pretend he was a ghost which put him in a fit of giggles. “Do you like Lego?”, he asked? “Yes”, I responded. He then proceeded to take me to his playroom to show me his Lego. I was one of the gang! A simple 5 min interaction and his day was made!

@TheyCallMeJesster I totally agree. Maybe it’s just because I’m a dad. But playing along with kids games is fun.

@BipolarArtist right?! (I’m a mum AND an ECE so there’s that. 😝)
