What I've been doing on break:

Reading. Lots of reading. I can't really focus on the TV right now. I have a lot of shows to catch up on, but none of them feel appealing at the moment.

So books have been my escape. Audio, print, graphic novel, ebook. I've been hiding in all formats. It's been quite nice.

Hoping to be back to writing mode by Monday.

S2: Day 127 (492)
Word Count: 2
Total: 43093

Two words. I'm not terribly upset about it because I needed the day to myself. It was a long one and a rough one. I might do 0 words for the weekend so I can focus on introverting properly in my free time and prevent a people overload. We'll see. But I miss my fictional worlds terribly.

S2: Day 126 (491)
Word Count: 25
Total: 43091

Slow and steady. Doing a lot of reading. A LOT of reading.

@TynaTucker I can relate to this. I've shared things about my writing journey in the past that didn't go over well, or shared a story that wasn't well received. I've been told "how" I should be writing and publishing by too many people to count. Thanks for sharing what you have. I'm excited to learn and see more as you're more comfortable. :)

S2: Day 125 (490)
Word Count: 12
Total: 43066

Two small sentences.

S2: Day 124 (489)
Word Count: 23
Total: 43054

I wrote a sentence and then went into my burrito of blankets.

@Writelighter I knew what was going to happen, but it still really hit me with the feels.

I've taken the time to breathe a little and read a whole book in just about one sitting. It's amazing how freeing that can be.

It's hard to stay away because this place has been really safe for me to share thoughts and feelings and just be myself. But I'm also empathic, so I'm going to sort through finding my balance. But that's social media, right?

@VelvetDuchess Definitely did a lot of feeling eating last night. Today I'm hoping to find another way to channel my sadness.

S2: Day 123 (488)
Word Count: 539
Total: 43031

I wrote enough, and it was really hard. Really hard. I doubt I'll get much done today. I'll check in with word count things tomorrow too.

Going to take a small Social Media hiatus. I'll be back, but I just need to close all these extra tabs out because what I'm reading on them hurts my heart too much.

But I will be back.

Didn't really get that nap in, but I started reading "Taste" by Stanley Tucci, and finished "Grace and Frankie" final season. That's a resting win.

I've written a handful of words, but I think I need a nap before I can really dive in and appreciate this book.

Survived the day job. Now let's hope I can get some words out!

From my devotional today. I certainly needed this reminder that I don't need to justify being a writer (shortened by me):

"...if our work is good work—if it helps cultivate a world where creation and creatures flourish as God intended—then we are free from needing to justify our jobs. We work and create simply because it’s what God made us to do. It’s who we are as his image-bearers. And that is enough.

So go and do the God-ordained “filling” of this earth with freedom and joy today!"

My Agenda:

- Do some writing before the day job.
- Work the day job.
- Take a shower and a nap.
- Get the kiddo to his church group.
- Squeeze more words in between as many of those things as I can.
- Eventually wash out my Instapot.

S2: Day 122 (487)
Word Count: 788
Total: 42492

I started on a fluff scene and it ended up becoming a piece of the bigger plot. Which is good. I was worried about wasting space.

@MLClark 15 is same kind of modern setting. It's like a buddy road trip...WITH MAGIC! And all the drama of a chosen prince off to save the world. Thank you, I've been having a blast with it so far.
