And, of course, those rules can be broken, as long as you're not caught breaking them. That's part of life in Russia & very much how Republicans would have the USA become. Pollute as much as you want, just get products made. Rape as much as you want, but don't abort the fetus...

So, Republican & Russian leaders would prefer a populace that lets them run the country however they want & in exchange they will let the people MOSTLY do whatever they want. Except for whatever ideological or religious rules that are put in place by the leaders.

Republicans, like Russians, have also pushed the idea of the people staying politically neutral from whatever their leader says, as long as he let's them be "free" to do whatever bad behavior they want. It's almost anarchist in form, if you think about it.

Now, I understand better why Republicans align themselves so well with Russians. Republicans have been pushing a dictator-style dream for at least 30 years (as long as Russia's existence, just a coincidence, I'm sure).

This gives the majority of the population a sense of "freedom" to do what they want, as long as they don't visibly break any of the dictator's decrees (won't call them laws). As long as you keep your head down in your "free" life, you're "free" to do many things.

Was thinking (dangerous hobby of mine) about how Putin's Russia is basically a politically disengaged dictatorship, which makes sure it's people have "just enough" to survive, as long as they don't break any of the dictator's rules (or at least hide it really well).

And yet, if the negative is sufficiently batshit, it turns out you can! 😉

I'm going to go relax :420:,
because I'm freaking out,
because I have no 💵
or a job I can handle.

@Astartiel Have you tried searching on Google for remote work from home jobs? Big companies like Amazon and Google always seem to have remote customer care positions and others available...

I have changed my Patreon to be a social media donation page (just being honest), because THAT'S where I'm at. If you can help me out a little bit monthly, until I can find better employment I can handle, please check out the tiers of $5-50.

I CAN'T HANDLE in-person work!

I've tried & end up hating it - unmotivated & unambitious.

I'm broke & nearly out of food.

PLEASE HELP ME.

I SO NEED remote work using my home computing devices (Windows 11 laptop, Android phone, & iPhone).

Anyone willing to help me?

Weird, I guess it was the Les Crane version of the Desiderata, You Are A Child Of The Universe, I just had never heard the intro before. And it obviously didn't come out in the 90's, but that's when I heard it, so my brain associated it with that time.

Now that I know it IS the Les Crane version, I found a copy that clips off the intro, which is how I remember first hearing Desiderata - You Are A Child Of The Universe. youtube.com/watch?v=C9iwKW6bal

Well, now that I know it actually WAS the Les Crane version, I'm going to share another song I found, while looking for that!
