feeling very lucky and blessed that I can work from home, my poor old girl is not eating and I think it’s due to constipation.
She went a tiny bit yesterday, and she’s happily letting me rub her belly, so no emergency vet yet, but if she doesn’t eat her regular food with his probiotic soon or go to the bathroom, then we have to go to the emergency vet :(
well. she threw up her water, we’re at the vet. sigh.

they just taking her off to weigh her and check her vitals, and I am floored them to please treat her carefully. She is fragile and old and is not used to being handled!! The vet tech walked off with her as if she was carrying the queen in her chariot, aka VERY carefully 😭♥️
Her belly was not sensitive yet, so I think everything will go OK. oh god I can hear her yelling behind the door

They’ve brought her back. confirming she’s a bit dehydrated and a little bit constipated, we are now waiting for the doctor.
well for once they didn’t recommmed every $500 treatment under the sun!!
He’s giving her fluids, stomach settling meds, and a lil dose of appetite enhancer, then some fiber stuff to put in her food
they said she’s not urgent right now, and so if it doesn’t work in the next day and a half that I can bring her back

Good news so far.
Do you have her on any kind of hairball meds? One of my guys has a problem with eating and vomiting if I don't give him Petrolax several times a week. It's basically nothing but petroleum jelly with molasses for the flavor and it gives ingested hair something to clump around and lubrication to keep everything moving through their guts. Just a thought.

huh!! I’ll try this, that would help. I also need her to stop itching at the fur to begin with.
I started putting this stuff and that helps with skin and fur into her food, but I also think it’s anxiety cause she started doing it after her brother died two years ago
